YOU HAVE OPTIONS
As a small, not-for-profit agency, we rely on community support to maintain our high quality care. Every gift helps us accomplish our mission, and every gift is important. While cash donations are the most common gifts we receive, there are several ways you can support Emergency Care in Lincoln County.
CASH
Goal: You want to make a gift the simplest way.
How it works: Make a cash donation directly to CLCAS. You may designate where you’d like your donation to go.
Benefits: You receive a charitable income tax deduction for the full amount allowed by law.

SECURITIES:
Goal: You still want to keep it simple, while also having tax benefits and using publicly-traded securities you already own.
How it works: make a gift of your appreciated stock, mutual funds, or bonds. CLCAS will then sell it and use the proceeds.
Benefits: If the stock is worth more than you paid for it, you will receive a greater tax benefit than if you donate cash. You get an immediate tax deduction on the fair market value on the day of transfer, and you don’t have to pay capital gains tax on the donated securities no matter their original cost.
BEQUEST
Goal: to make a gift that costs you nothing now, but still helps CLCAS build financial strength and sustainability in the future.
How it works: designate a portion of your will or trust (cash, property, or a share of the remainder of the estate) to CLCAS.
Benefits: Currently, there is no upper limit on the estate tax deduction for charitable bequests. A bequest allows your assets to be in your control during your lifetime.
GIFT IN KIND
Goal: to support CLCAS through a gift of goods, services, or time.
How it works: Individuals, businesses, and organizations may want to support CLCAS by providing items, skills, and services that CLCAS would otherwise need to fund.
Benefits: You get a tax deduction for the fair value of your goods, service, or professional time.
